Horseshoe Baltimore Recruitment Coordinator to Promote Availability of Casino Jobs among City Residents and Assist with Application Process Baltimore, Maryland (May 2, 2013) – The Mayor’s Office of Employment Development (MOED) and CBAC Gaming, LLC, the owner and operator of the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, yesterday received Board of Estimates approval to hire a professional recruitment coordinator to help identify qualified city residents to apply for positions at the gaming facility. CBAC Gaming will provide the funding to pay for the City of Baltimore position, which will report directly to the MOED Business Services Manager. The recruitment coordinator will manage and coordinate the development and implementation of a comprehensive community outreach and recruitment plan to prepare Baltimore City residents for, and assist in connecting them to, the employment opportunities at the casino, which is slated to open in mid-2014. The position, which is full-time with benefits, was established as part of a memorandum of understanding between the City of Baltimore and CBAC Gaming. Completion of a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university, preferably with course work in human resource management, business, psychology, sociology or related fields and two or more years recruiting experience is also required.
