Recovery-Friendly Programs

Support to communities

MOED has special job programs for people recovering from substance use disorder. The MOED Recovery-Friendly Program helps people in Baltimore find career advice, job help, and other services.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Peer Program: Our Peer Recovery Specialists have gone through recovery themselves. They help others by sharing their experiences. They provide career advice and can guide people to other MOED programs like training and job workshops. They meet people in the community to give support.
  • Supported Employment Program: This program helps people in recovery find jobs through a model called Individual Placement and Support (more information here). They meet weekly with a specialist who helps them set and reach their job goals.
  • Job Development: We have job developers who help people in recovery find job opportunities that fit their needs.
  • Recovery-Friendly Workplace: This program (more information here) teaches local businesses about substance use disorder. It helps them create a supportive work environment, which can lower staff turnover and provide better support for employees.

We are here to help you on your recovery journey!
